Unaccompanied children—one of the world’s most vulnerable groups—are currently being denied entry into the United States.
Under recent Trump Administration orders, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) closed the U.S. southern border to unaccompanied children and asylum seekers. Now, as arriving children seek to escape violence, trafficking, and death, DHS is turning them away. By summarily returning kids who need protection, the administration is putting them at risk of trafficking and persecution while violating bipartisan laws designed to protect the most vulnerable.
In addition, the administration is now attempting to separate families again by giving them an impossible choice of either releasing their children and the rights to their children or remain together in detention. This is not a choice anyone should have to make.

We are so thankful for your support and willingness to help during this difficult time.
By signing this petition, together we are telling DHS that every day these expulsions continue, returned children face the risk of trafficking, violence, and death. The United States must not turn its back on these children or our laws upon which their lives depend.
You can continue to help some of the most vulnerable in our country have access to the resources they so desperately need to stay safe and well by donating to KIND today. Thank you so much!
